Production/Creative Overview
At Cari Cole Voice & Music Company, we are dedicated to doing quality projects. Using award winning producers, the best vocal coaches in NYC and established songwriters, we will ensure that your songs and music are professional level and give you an advantage in the marketplace. We also offer a range of options for many different types of projects and budgets. Your first session is a consultation with Cari Cole, to access and discuss solutions for your project.

Nikki Jaymes
Nikki
Jaymes is a singer-songwriter pop/country artist from Boston who came
to us when she was 13 years old with a dream to write and record her
own songs. We invited Nikki into our artist development program and
started writing songs to capture what she wanted to say. Nikki debut 5 song pop/country EP
release isccompanied by a band of smokin' NYC musicians who layered
electric guitars, bass, drums, piano, pedal steel, organ
and strings capturing the big classic pop/country music sound. Produced by Cari Cole
and Paul St. James, the record was mixed by Tim Gilles
at Big Blue in NJ and mastered by Alan Douches of West West Side Sound/NY. Alexa Dectis
Alexa
came to us 3 years ago with a dream and a vision of helping others
through writing songs about her own story. At our first consultation
Alexa said to us "I want to be a pop star". I replied: "Anyone who can
sit in a wheelchair and say that is someone I want to work
with!". Alexa has SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) which is a form of MDA
(Muscular Dystrophy) where her muscles weaken continually over time.
It's been an amazing journey writing and recording these poignant
songs from her life and about her disease. Her goal is to raise the
money needed to complete the research to find a cure. So far she has
raised tens of thousands of dollars for MDA just by singing her songs
at MDA events and on the streets of Manhattan. Alexa has just turned
16 and is awaiting the release of her first 5 song EP produced by Cari
Cole and mixed by producer/engineer Shane Koss. Her record is slated
for release late Summer 2009.
Cari Cole
Cari
Cole is back in the studio working on her next record! Produced by
Paul St. James (producer of her award winning record, The Circle of
Fire) and accompanied by musicians Jeff McErlain, Kip Reed, Bill
Malchow, Hari Gangleberger, Joe Deninzon & David Gotay. The songs
on this record are all about the world around us and inside us.
Jangling electric guitars layered over a rich bed of acoustic guitars,
bass and drums, with Cari's piano, Bill Malchow's New Orleans organ and
Joe Deninzon's exquisite string arrangements, the sound is big and
lush. Cari's resonant vocals sound like a spoonful of honey on top.

Alexis Newman
Alexis
Newman won a "One-song Record Contract" with our company when she tied
for first place at Cari Cole's "Are You A Pop Star Contest" from
November 2008 in Westchester, NY. She has spent that past few months
collaborating with writers Cari Cole & Vickie Natale and has just
completed a song called "Stronger" that speaks out about Alexis's inner
strength as a young teen. Alexis's style as a singer is along the
lines of Leona Lewis mixed with a little Jennifer Hudson, so we've
decided to build a track with some cool loops and urban sounds for her.
The track was programmed by engineer/producer Giovanni Fusco with the
electric guitars of Jeff McErlain and we are just finishing up the
background vocals this July. "Stronger" is being produced by Cari Cole
& Giovanni Fusco and is slated for release in August 2009.
Samantha Fly
Samantha
Fly tied first place with Alexis Newman in our "Are You A Pop Star?
Workshop" in November 2008. She won a "One Song Record Contract" with
our company. Her lyric talks about Sam's inner world as a teenager
trying to break free from a world that wants to control her. Sam has a powerhouse of a voice similar to the sound of Katy Perry and Paramore's lead singer. Producer
Giovanni Fusco will create a track in a modern pop/rock sound
accompanied by the lush electric guitars of Jeff McErlain and vocals
produced by Cari Cole, a release is slated for late Summer 2009.
Production Services/Packages
The initial consult is a meeting with producer Cari Cole, and will cover the scope of project from creative/production and service options to budgeting. This is where you are able to discuss the details of the vision you have for your project and the beginning of putting the pieces together to make your vision come alive.
In House Flat Rate Packages
BASIC PACKAGES- our all inclusive, basic packages are available to fit many different production projects, budgets and musical styles. All of these basic packages include different options for tracking instruments, capturing harmonies, vocal tracking, arranging, Pro Tools editing, mixing and mastering and production by Cari Cole and her team of producers. The idea is that an artist, regardless of what style project they're doing can get an amazing amount of value for one flat fee.
BASIC DEMO- for our basic demo package, we offer to record piano or guitar and record your vocal with producer Cari Cole. This is great for singer-songwriters or anyone looking to just get their ideas down. It's also ideal for those on a budget, to use a more stripped down approach with one or two instruments. The advantage of doing a demo with Cari Cole is that you will have a vocal and music producer to help you creatively as opposed to just going into a studio with an engineer who will give you no creative input. Having a producer on your track or project can make all the difference to your sound and musical impact.
BASIC BUILT TRACK- for this option we will build a track from the ground up to support your vocals. Built tracks versus a "band" sound, are great for more electronic sounds, pop/dance/R&B, but can also be used for a rock or straight pop sound. Everything from Lady GaGa to Imogen Heap or a Dido-esque approach. We have an array of producers who build tracks for specific sounds and styles. The backing track will include a beat and other accompanying harmonies, atmospheric instrumentation and sounds.
BASIC FULL BAND- for this option, we offer the ability to have all live instrumentation on your track, including drum tracking, bass, guitar and piano. We bring together a band of musicians that fit your sound and style. Starting with pre-production rehearsals, the artist is involved in the decision making process from start to finish. From a raw rock sound, all the way to a four piece string or horn section, you can choose the sound you are looking for and we'll arrange all the parts. In this setting, all of your vocals will be fully produced by Cari Cole and her artful team of NYC producers. This is a great option for either a solo artist or group which is going more of a full band sound in the areas of pop, rock, country, folk, jazz or anywhere in between.
