"Mentoring" is a special thing. The Webster's definition of a "mentor" is: "Somebody, usually older and more experienced, provides advice and support to, and watches over and fosters the progress of, a younger, less experienced person” Says Cari: "I have several artists that I have mentored over the years. It is amazing to watch them become more connected to themselves and their music. Mentoring is an important process that inspires artists toward their creativity and artistry".

The Music

'The Music' is all about your artistry and your craft. The process of being an artist. The music artists' first job is to create music. To become the best songwriter they possibly can. To become the best vocalist they possibly can be. Before anything else this is where the creativity of the artist must be cultivated, nurtured, fostered. It is the vision of the artist, not the music business that creates the music. If the artist tries to catch the trends and copy music that is out there, their real artistry can be lost. We are dedicated to bringing out the real artist inside and will help an artist become who they really are - not who they think they should be. Through contemplation, inspiration, authentically connecting and inspiring music and lyrics that express what lies within, it is our primary goal to inspire authenticity and great art in our artists.

The Business

'The Business' is all about building relationships, ediquette and respect. The music business is about connecting with people in the business who can put your music out there and invest in your future as an artist. The artist brings the music to the table and the label brings that music to the world. If you want to be in the business then put yourself in the business. Join NARAS, ASCAP/BMI or SESAC, and the organizations that are in the business. It is where you are going to meet the credible folks that are doing honest work in the industry. Secondly, be informed. Don't use VH1 Behind the Scenes as your guide to the music industry. Not everyone is out there to rip you off. There's a lot of great people making great music happen. Cari Cole presents mentoring sessions for serious artists only that are active in their careers. We also mentor select students within our student body.

Cari is also an award winning singer-songwriter and independent artist who's last record garnered a spot on the Grammy Ballots for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. She has taught Grammy winners and legends in the music industry and brings a wealth of knowledge and wisdom to those artists looking for mentorship.
